If the Messaging component is configured for in-app messaging, event managers can use the component to send messages to attendees. These in-app messages can be aimed at specific attendees, groups of attendees, or a general audience.
Messages composed and sent using this method can be received even by attendees who have the Allow Messaging option turned off.
Sending messages to attendees
- After logging into the App Manager and opening your QuickEvent, click the Content tab to open the Content Management page.
- On the Content Management page, click Message Manager to open the Message Manager page.
- Click Send Message to open the Send Message page.
- Define the message
- Click Submit.
From
Use this field to define the name of the sender as it will appear in the recipient’s Inbox.
Where Attendee
Use this field to define which attendees will receive the message.
To send the message to all attendees, select the default option: ALL Active.
To send the message to a particular attendee or attendees, select the attendee data type that defines your recipient criteria. For example, to send a message to a particular attendee, select attendeeId, or to send the message to all attendees from a particular company, select company.
Is
The term used filter attendees by the data type defined in the Where Attendee field. For example, if Where Attendee is defined as attendeeId, enter the recipient attendee's ID here, or if you elected to filter by company, enter a company name.If Where Attendee is defined as ALL Active, leave this field blank.
Subject
The subject line of the message. 250 characters maximum, most special characters allowed.
Message
The body text of the message. 200 characters maximum, most special characters allowed.
