To create an area map go to the Maps Component in the CMS content manager and click new map
- First you create a static map by uploading a map image file and giving the map a name.
- You can then plot exhibitor booths and sessions on the map by creating landmarks and assigning exhibitors and sessions to them.
- Multiple sessions and exhibitors can be assigned to a single landmark.
Attendees use the main menu to access the Maps screen, which displays a list of available area maps. Touching a listed map opens it, displaying the map title and image.
If exhibitors or sessions have been plotted on the map, touching one of their locations opens a list of exhibitors/sessions at that location. Selecting an exhibitor or session from the list opens its Details screen.
Attendees can use the search button on the Maps screen to open the Search screen, which enables them to search for sessions and exhibitors by name or booth number. The Search screen displays a dynamically updating list of matches as the user enters the search term, and touching a listed exhibitor or session returns the user to the map and places a pin graphic at the exhibitor or session location.
If an exhibitor or session has been plotted on an area map, attendees can also access that map from the exhibitor or session Details screen. These Details screens will display an area map location button, and touching it will open the map and display a pin graphic at the exhibitor or session location.
