The Gallery component is an in-app photo album where you can post interesting photos from the event. It also provides attendees the ability to share their own photos or 'like' those posted by others.
Giving attendees the ability to contribute photos to the app encourages them to check the app more frequently and engage more with the event to find photo opportunities. Attendee-contributed photos can also be useful to the event managers for promotional purposes.
The Gallery component does not require any other component.
Photos are added to galleries in two ways: you can add them yourself using the App Manager, or they can be contributed by attendees during the event.
Add your own photos by selecting an image and optionally add comment text. Attendee-contributed images are even easier to deal with: for each contributed image, simply decide whether to accept or reject the image.
While you can see all images in the App Manager, attendees will only ever see images that have been approved by event staff. Note that this means if you want attendees to be able to submit images, event staff must devote some time to curating images during the event.
If the images in your galleries are valuable for purposes outside the app, you can use the App Manager to download entire galleries as zip files for easy distribution.
